Be My Valentine!

Do you remember being in grade school, cutting out heart shapes from red construction paper and writing short love notes to your classmates? I loved hearts when I was younger…weird given what I do now, but true! I had a comforter that was filled with hearts. I doodled hearts everywhere. I LOVED giving out those Valentines in school, simply because it was a heart.

I know for some of you, Valentine’s Day makes you feel like a failure because you feel like you don’t have someone to share it with. For others of you in relationships, you are expecting something and you’re not sure if you are going to get it. Others of you are excited, while another group of you could care less because it is just another day. However, there are reminders of it being V-day everyday, and that sparks a different feeling for everyone.

No matter where you are, I have to say that today has nothing to do with just showing or receiving love from the MAN in your life. When I was in grade school just like all of you, Valentine’s Day was all about showing love to as many people as possible, and it still is.

I am declaring today the day to share love and feel how much you are loved from everywhere in your life. I know so many of you feel the same way; let’s create a movement around it. I will start by writing Valentine’s to my loved ones, and that includes you!

To my Mom and Dad, Happy Valentine’s Day. I appreciate you for creating me, supporting me, and raising me to be the person I am today. Without you I wouldn’t be able to feel filled up with love so that I have more to give to others.

To my Little Bro, Happy Valentine’s Day. You teach me so much in life. You are one of my best friends and someone who shows me fear is nothing but a blip on the radar. That is inspiring.

To my In-Laws (second set of Mom and Dad), Brother and Sister-In-Law & Nieces, Happy Valentine’s Day. Thank you for loving me with all of my craziness and giving me the space and understanding to be who I am.  I really cherish it and am grateful to have you in my life.

To my Grandmother, Happy Valentine’s Day. You are superwomen. Thank you for showing me what cooking with love really means. I can literally feel the love through your food, and it warms my belly and my heart.

To my Cousins, Aunts, and Uncles. Happy Valentine’s Day. Life is long; sometimes we are in touch often and sometimes not so often. I want you to know that you are always in my heart, and have contributed to the person I am today.

To my Friends & extended circle of friends, Happy Valentines Day. You know who you are. =) I want you to know that without you in my life, wow, I would really be nuts. You are the people I come to for laughs, hugs, and amazing conversations.

To my Team & Coaches, Happy Valentine’s Day. I would not be able to succeed at the level of excellence I demand and make a difference in the world without you. Thank god you all walked into my life. Your support is invaluable.

To My Husband, Happy Valentines Day. This journey of life would literally feel unfulfilling without you in it. You stand by me every single moment of every single day and wish nothing more than for me to be happy, while asking for very little in return. You really stand for what love means.

Finally…

To my Clients, Happy Valentine’s Day. You allow me to be a part of your life, trusting me, and inspiring me because you take fear by the ovaries and demand a life that is extraordinary, which is what you deserve. I am SO honored to have you in my life.

To YOU, Happy Valentine’s Day. Simply by being in my circle and reading my love notes weekly and rooting me on from a far. I can feel it, I promise, and it means the world to me.  I wish nothing but love, love and more love for you.

If I have missed anyone (and I am sure I have because I could keep going but then this email would be never ending), now that I am sending love always.

This is my LOVE SUPPORT SYSTEM. Your love work for this week is to take out some red construction paper or an email, and send those that are in your Love Support System some love. Who are you sending some love to today? Tell me in the COMMENTS below!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

In Love,
Kavita
