Should I meet him in person?

I have been deep in creating mode this week. It feels good.

We are creating a new communication product for all of you. We have created th 6 mindset shifts that can help you communicate with men easily. Doesn’t that sound awesome!? I am committed to cutting out as much of the anxiety that occurs for us in the dating process, and in our relationships, so we can easily say what we need and want.

My team and I have been pouring hours into it and we are really excited to tell you all about it soon.

Today’s episode of KavitaTV is like a sneak peek of what can happen when you take on these mindset shifts.

I reveal a little secret on how to know when you should meet up with the guy you’re talking to online. This trick can even work if you are debating whether or not to go on a second date with someone you’ve already met.

If you’re in the online dating world, it can be frustrating to spend days messaging back and forth with a guy waiting for him to ask you out.

How much do you really need to know about each other before you decide to meet? And on that same note, how can you know enough so that when you do meet, you haven’t totally wasted your time?

Watch today’s episode of KavitaTV to hear what I tell all of my clients in this situation so you can interact with men online in a fun and easy way that still gets to the core of what you want to know:

Do I want to get to know this man more to see if he is a potential match or should I move on?

Online dating doesn’t have to be overwhelming or a stream of boring conversations.

It can actually be a lot of fun.

After you check out the episode, let me know your take in the comments over on the blog.
If you think a friend could use this video, make sure to spread the love and share with them.

In Love,
Kavita

When I’m online dating, I like to cut to the chase and meet as soon as possible. Usually I find that I am not interested very quickly too, but I arrange short dates so it doesn’t feel like I’ve wasted a lot of time. The men I meet almost never ask to meet me or want to make plans, they just want to send messages forever. I asked the last guy what was up with that and he told me that most of the women he meets online are very hesitant about meeting as well and so he’s been leaving it up to them to take the initiative! Even when I said I’d be up for meeting and I had the week off from work, he was still expecting me to come up with the plans. I think that sets a really bad precedent for the kind of relationship I want, so I stopped contacting him. I believe most people dating online are too hesitant about meeting. I guess it can be very frustrating on both ends.

Hi LeVonne, I feel like you have a system when dating online. Do you initiate contact and what is your criteria when you decide to meet someone?

There is a man I’m chatting with online. So far, I’ve enjoyed our conversations. I would like for him to ask me so I can see how it goes. I know I need to pray about it also. My last relationship I kind of jumped the boat and things did not work out. I’ve learned from my past. If I don’t feel that we are a match, what is a good way I can let him know without being rude.

    • Kavita

HI Lorie, maybe “jumping the boat” was necessary so you could get clear on that relationship not being the right one. Let him know that you would be open to meeting, he may just as nervous as you are.
To let someone down easy I would say “it’s been great chatting with you and you seem like a great person but I’m not feeling enough of a connection to meet. I’m sure you will find someone amazing for you. All the best on your search” Try that out. 🙂

This video was right on time! I have someone I am liking, however the conversation seems turns to a sexual nature. He’s intelligent and ambitious and I am dealing with some codependency and love addiction issues that I’m in counseling for.I dont want this to turn into a dead end situation…and these are some cool questions I can ask when we spend some time together on the 4th of July. I asked him to see the fireworks with me. Thanks!!

    • Kavita

HI Eboney! So amazing, let us know how the date goes!

Great video – I liked the script for how to ask a guy to ask you out, lol! It seems like a way to retain feeling feminine and still take initiative, which I find can be a tricky balance, so thank you for the example! Can’t wait to try it out when I sign back up online soon.
